Welcome. My name's Jen, street name Lil Jenny. Having a woman's name used to bother me, but it doesn't anymore.controlla
Web design is a craft that merges visual aesthetics, user experience, and creativity into one. To create, an artist has to develop a wide range of interests. By having an understanding of various subjects, the artist will be able meld different practices, experiences, and cultures into a design that's truly innovative.
I always strive to create something new, while remain under the discipline of final business goals; it is critical to find the balance between the two. I enjoy building high quality, detailed websites, knowing that it will remain usable a decade down the road.

[fountain.jenyuan.com] is a Tumblr blog I started in 2012. The blog has over 40k followers, but I don't spend much time running it anymore. Now, it serves as my inspiration board, at times I use it to promote artists and creators. Feel free to hit me up if you have work that's in need of promotion
Allen, who contacted me in 2013 after I reblogged a photo from his first ever photo shoot became a great friend of mine. A year later I met him in Syracuse, NY, and together, we founded Qual Agency. Here's a picture of the first night we met.
[ne-sense.com], Ne.Sense is a fashion retailer operating both at its space and online shop. Beyond it's core of fashion retailing, Ne.Sense frequently ventures into the blurred lines of art, design, and fashion.
It started in 2013, when the founder of Ne.Sense, Steve (who was my math tutor in high school) spoked to me about the new born company, exactly when I started my web design career. In 2013 - 2016, I worked remote and on-site at times due to my travels. In late 2016, I started working full time on it's website designs, maintenance, and ecommerce marketing.
Together, we did work for SlamJam, 300 Ent, Alyx Studios, ISAORA, Runway Waiters, Fetty Wap, Young Thug, Delantic, Fitz & Co... prominent figures in the art, fashion, and music industry. We also run [useless mockups], a website that provides free photoshop mockups, and the type foundry [Qualitype].
[zen-themes.com] started in 2013, Zen Themes was my first foray into the field of web design.
It all started when I was tweaking my Tumblr blog to attract more visitors/followers. I ended up learning front-end development.
It now serves as a playground to experiment with different styles and development techniques. If you want to understand the project in depth, take a look at the about page.
[phasethemes.com] is a WordPress & Shopify theme collection I'm building. The themes are designed in a modern style for the masses - see 2-3 design on the levels of art. I take extra attention in the user experience, and the code quality.
